In 2016, Elsa Dreisig wins the First Prize for the Operalia Competition; She received the title of Young Artist of the Year from Opernwelt magazine and she is named Revelation Lyric Artist at Victoires de la Musique Classique. In 2015, she won the Second Prize at the Queen Sonja Competition in Oslo and the First Women's Prize, as well as the Public Prize in the Neue Stimmen Competition of the Bertelsmann Foundation in Gütersloh. Franco-Danish, Elsa Dreisig sings from her childhood as part of the Masters of the Royal Opera of Wallonia and the National Opera of Lyon.
She studied opera at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris and the Hochschule für Musik in Leipzig. She is also studying with Lionel Sarrazin. She made her stage debut in 2013/2014 in Der Wildschütz de Lortzing at the Hochschule Leipzig and Semiramide Hasse in Leipzig and Graz. It is found in 2014/2015 at the Théâtre du Châtelet in The Umbrellas of Cherbourg (role of Jenny) alongside Natalie Dessay and Laurent Naouri, under the direction of Michel Legrand.
She plays Madame de Folleville in Rossini's Voyage à Reims at Royaumont's Dramatic and Musical Performance Workshop. In 2015/2016, she joined Staatsoper Berlin's Opéra Studio, under the artistic direction of Daniel Barenboim.
She was soon entrusted with leading roles such as Pamina (The Magic Flute) and Euridice (Orfeo ed Euridice, with Bejun Mehta). She participated in the new production of Juliette Martinů alongside Rolando Villazón and Magdalena Kozená, under the direction of Daniel Barenboim. She is also Rosina (The Barber of Seville) at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand and touring France. In 2017, she made her debut at the Opéra national de Paris as Pamina, at the Aix-en-Provence Festival (Micaela de Carmen) and at the Zurich Opera (Musetta de La Bohème).
Since the beginning of the season, she has been performing at the Staatsoper in Berlin where she recently performed Violetta Valery from La Traviata.
