Elisey Mysin is a young Russian musician, pianist, and composer. He gained wide fame after participating in the television competition for young performers “Blue Bird”. The twelve-year-old Russian pianist won First Prize at the International Chopin Piano Competition in Nashville in the 16-22 age category.
Elisey Mysin was born in 2010 in Stavropol. He started playing music at the age of four. Currently studying at the Central Music School at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. I. Tchaikovsky (classes of Professor Natalia Trull and Daniil Tsvetkov).
Laureate of the international competitions Astana Piano Passion (2017) and “Where Art Is Born” in Krasnodar (2017, 1st prize), participant in the finals of the All-Russian television competition “Blue Bird” (2016). In 2020 and 2021 he was awarded first prizes at the Moscow International Vladimir Krainev Piano Competition. Scholarship holder of the International Charitable Foundation “New Names” and Yamaha.
He performed at the State Kremlin Palace, the Tchaikovsky Concert Hall, the Moscow Zaryadye Concert Hall, and on the Historical Stage of the Bolshoi Theater. He played with the State Orchestra of Russia named after E.F. Svetlanov, the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, the Vladimir Governor's Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Leningrad Region, the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra and other groups.
A regular participant in Denis Matsuev’s projects, including the Crescendo and “Stars on Baikal” festivals. In 2018, he played with Matsuev at the World Economic Forum in Davos and a gala concert on Red Square in Moscow dedicated to the opening of the FIFA World Cup.
He performed at the festivals “Young Talents in Tchaikovsky’s Homeland” in Udmurtia, “Spasskaya Tower” in Moscow, “Russian Seasons” in Rome (2018, opening ceremony, conductor – Valery Gergiev), “Mozart Week” in Salzburg, Classical Young Stars in Vienna , named after Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli in Trento (Italy, solo concert) and InClassica in Dubai.
He is engaged in composition. He starred in the film “About Lelya and Minka” based on the stories of Mikhail Zoshchenko (2020, directed by Anna Chernakova).
