Yannis Pospurikas (born 1971 in Marseille) is a French conductor.
The conductor was born in Marseilles in 1971. Very quickly, he went to study at the Geneva Conservatory, and then to the Zurich Opera House, where he unanimously received the award of the conductor from the jury. He was quickly hired as an assistant conductor at the National Opera of Paris, and then by Sir Simon Rattle at the Glyndeborn Festival. In 1999, he debuted in Geneva at La Chauve-Souris. From 2000 to 2004, he served as assistant conductor and second conductor of the choir at the National Opera of Paris. He regularly collaborates with the Glindborn Festival, the Orange Festival, the Real Madrid Theater, the Bolshoi Theater in Geneva and the La Monnaie Theater in Brussels.
Jannis Pospurikas, not hesitating in the world of opera, also heals the symphonic repertoire. He leads the Orchestra de la Suisse romande, Monte-Carlo Orchestra, Swiss Radio Orchestra of Italy (Spring rite, sea ...) Strasbourg Philharmonic Orchestra, Lorraine National Orchestra, Picardy Orchestra, Dublin Radio Orchestra, Geneva Chamber Orchestra, orchestra orchestra, orchestra orchestra orchestra. (Teatro Real). In September 2010, after replacing Jesús Lopez-Cobos with Les Contes d'Hoffmann at the Paris National Opera, Yannis Pospurikas directs Lou Lou, Henri Dutillo in the presence of the composer. Since then he has been a regular guest conductor.
Invited regularly to Germany, he directed, for example, the first symphony of Mahler, as well as the rare symphony of Faust F. Liszt (Brunswick), The Rite of Spring, Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony led by Südwestdeutsche Philharmonie Konstanz, L 'The Firebird in Wuppertal ....
The first Harsanyi / Saint-Saëns CD with Orchester de la Suisse Romande is published by Lyrinx. For the past four years, Yannis Pospurikas was the first assistant conductor at the opera in Essen. He directs about sixty performances per season.
