Austrian tenor Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke made his Royal Opera debut in the 2016/17 Season as Ivan (The Nose) and Valzacchi (Der Rosenkavalier).
Ablinger-Sperrhacke studied at the Musikhochschule in Vienna. He regularly sings for Glyndebourne Festival, his roles including Vašek (The Bartered Bride), Rev. Horace Adams (Peter Grimes), Monostatos (Die Zauberflöte), Arnalta (L’incoronazione di Poppea), Witch (Hänsel und Gretel), Dancing-Master (Ariadne auf Naxos) and Podestà (La finta giardiniera).
