A Luxembourgish soprano, Véronique Nosbaum began her singing studies with Georgette Rispal in Paris, then at the Royal Conservatory of Liège with Greta De Reyghere, where she obtained her First Prize, after completing a university degree in Modern Literature at the Sorbonne in Paris. She specializes with Monique Zanetti at the Conservatory of Metz, where she obtains the Gold Medal in baroque singing with the congratulations of the jury. She has perfected herself with Klesie Kelly, Yva Barthélémy, Isabelle Desrochers, Sylvia Geszty and Hubert Weller and followed Lied masterclasses with Norman Shetler in Salzburg.
Fellow of the Opera Studio of the Teatro Verdi in Pisa in 2007 and 2008, she plays the role of Amore in G. Gluck's Paride ed Elena at Teatro Verdi in Pisa and Teatro del Giglio in Lucca. She successfully performed the same role at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie, which re-engaged Mozart's Flûte enchantée in a staging by Cécile Roussat and Julien Lubeck. In contemporary opera, she performs at the Tête-à-Tête Opera Festival in London for the production of extracts from Electra (in the role of Clytemnestra) by Catherine Kontz. She sings "Die Stimme" in Claude Lenners' Der Turm at the Grand Théâtre de la Ville in Luxembourg.
She began a collaboration with the composer Albena Petrovic in 2018 for a recording entitled The Voyager, melodies by A Petrovic, with his brother Romain Nosbaum on piano. An international promotional tour takes place at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, the Palau de la Musica in Barcelona, the Klangmanufaktur in Hamburg and many other prestigious places.
On the concert repertoire side, she has sung with many ensembles and orchestras, especially Baroque, but also with Quatuors, such as the Quatuor Elysée. She is a member of the cantoLX ensemble, with whom appear two recordings for the et'cetera label. She has sung as a soloist under the direction of great conductors such as Emmanuel Krivine, Pierre Cao, Federico Maria Sardelli, Jean Deroyer, Pierre Bartholomew and Frank Agsteribbe.
Véronique collaborated with renowned contemporary artists: Sylvie Blocher, filmed and recorded performance for a work of art composed of video sequences (A more perfect world).
In theater, she works regularly with Compagnie du Grand Boube, under the director Carole Lorang in pieces of the couple Mani Muller / Carole Lorang, for whom she first interprets a role only sung, then the role (spoken and sung) of Maria Josefa in the House of Bernarda Alba by Federico Garcia Lorca at the Bouffes du Nord in Paris, then in Besançon, Toulon, Liège ... She was recently Marie in Mirrors Troubles at the Capuchin Theater in Luxembourg
She has recorded several CDs, the last of which, L'Oratorio per la Settimana Santa by Luigi Rossi, together with cantoLX, has been nominated for the International Music Award. In 2019, she recorded The Voyager - Melodies by Albena Petrovic, with Romain Nosbaum, a recording hailed by the international press for being nominated for the Deutscher Klassikpreis - Opus Klassik 2019 in the "Sängerin des Jahres" category.
Since September 2013, Véronique Nosbaum has taught singing at the Conservatoire de Musique du Nord in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
