About
The vocal ensemble Rastatt is a mixed Rastatt choir, which focuses on Baroque works and composers, but also works of classical, romanticism and the 20th century.
The Ensemble performed at the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, at the Musikfest Bremen, the Cologne Philharmonic, the festival Rheinvokal, the Handel festival Karlsruhe, the European Music Festival Stuttgart, the Schwetzinger Festspiele, the Wartburg concerts of the Deutschlandradio Kultur, the Baroque Festival Mulhouse and the Centre de Musique "Les Dominicains" in the French Guebwiller.
With Edita Gruberová in the title roles, the choir sang at the Opera performances of "Lucia di Lammermoor" and "Norma" in Baden-Baden and Cologne. The Ensemble performed with Klaus Maria Brandauer and the Chamber Orchestra of Europe at the Bremen music festival.
It works on a project-specific basis in soloist, classical chamber choir-or in oratory cast with young singers who present themselves in a pre-singing. Institutional sponsors are the city of Rastatt and the state of Baden-Württemberg.
