The conductor and choir Director Vinzenz Weissenburger works together with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Gustavo Dudamel, Andris Nelsons and Sir Simon Rattle and conducts concerts and operas, orchestras such as the MDR Symphony orchestra Leipzig, the Staatskapelle Berlin and the lautten Compagney.
At the Staatsoper in the Schiller theatre, he conducted the workshop productions of "puss in boots" César Cui, "iron Hans!"by Ali N. Askin and Wolf-Ferraris "Cinderella" and since 2011 the traditional Christmas concert with the children's choir of the Staatsoper and the Staatskapelle Berlin. In Dresden in 2010 he directed Mozart's " Die Zauberflöte "and in 2011 Lortzing's" der Wildschütz " with the new Elbland Philharmonie. In June 2012 he made his debut at the Theater Hof with Rossini's "Il barbiere di Siviglia".
Since 2007 he has led the children's choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin and since then he has been expanding it in such a way that he won the gold medal at Siaulia Cantat in Lithuania in 2013 and the first prize at the German choir competition 2014. At the International Choir Competition of Hoi An (Vietnam) the children's choir was awarded with two gold medals and Vinzenz Weissenburger with the "Conductor's Prize for outstanding achievement". In September 2015, he founded the Youth Chamber Choir Junges Consortium Berlin, which won three gold medals at the "Grand Prix of Nations" in 2017. Here, too, he received a special prize for"excellent conducting". In November 2016, he took over the artistic direction at the choir of the young ensemble Berlin.
