Vincent Penot is bass clarinet soloist of the National Orchestra of the Paris Opera, and teaches at the Conservatoire Regional Radiation of Paris.
During his brilliant studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Paris, where he will be the holder of 2 first clarinet and bass clarinet awards, he won several prizes in competitions, such as the 4th prize at the Karl Nielsen International Competition, Odense and the 2nd prize at the Claude Debussy National Competition in Paris.
Vincent Penot also directs a collection on the site "clarinet-edition.fr", which allows him to discover some talented composers, and also to work on adaptations or transcriptions for his instruments, which are clarinet and bass clarinet . In parallel with his activity of orchestra and teaching, he participates in the evolution of the repertoire, regularly creating new works written for him (concertos, sonatas, pieces for solo clarinet, etc ...).
