Vasiliy Efimov was born in Moscow, studied in the Moscow Academy of Choir Art (training course of V. Orlenin), the Academic College at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (training course of V. Goryachkin), graduated from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory (training course of Professor E. Kibkalo and Professor A. Voroshilo). He improved his skills at the master classes of S. Ulloa, V. Keller, L. Arner, G. Dornemann, R. Akkermann, A. Althoff Pugliese, P. Sperry. Vasiliy is the Gran-Prix Winner of the Princess Catharina International Competition (Italy, 2005). Vasiliy Efimov has been in Helikon-Opera since 2005. He performed the parts of Monostatos in “Die Zauberflöte” by W. A. Mozart (France, 2009), Schwonder in “Heart of a Dog” by A. Raskatov (the world premiere was in the Musical Theatre of Amsterdam, the Netherlands, 2010; La Scala, Italy, 2013). Vasiliy sang in the opera “Nose” by D. Shostakovich at the festival in Aix-en-Provence and in the Opéra de Lyon (France, 2011). In 2012 he took part in the opera “Iolanta” produced by P. Sellars (the “Real” theatre, Spain), appeared at the Rossini Festival in Pesaro (Italy), and made his debut on the stage of the Opéra Bastille (France).
