The young German Mezzosoprano Valentina Stadler started taking her first voice lessons at the early age of thirteen. After starting her Bachelor degree at Manhattan School of Music in New York she continued her musical studies at the ‘Hanns Eisler‘ School of Music in Berlin, where she is currently finishing her Master’s degree studying with Fionnuala McCarthy (Voice), Wolfram Rieger (Lied), and KS Julia Varady (Opera). Valentina is studying with Abbie Furmansky (Staatsoper Berlin) in her private studio in Berlin.
Valentina participated in Masterclasses of KS Christa Ludwig, Graham Johnson, Ann Murray, Malcolm Martineau, Thomas Hampson, Christine Schäfer, John Norris and many others.
In April 2015, Valentina sang the role of Edda, in ‘Neue SzenenII‘, a modern composition piece of Elisa Quarello at the Tischlerei of Deutsche Oper Berlin. In October 2015, she successfully made her debut as Cherubino in Mozart’s ‘Le Nozze di Figaro‘ in the Opera Studio Tenerife and again at Teatro Comunale in Bologna in May 2016. In November 2015, she took part of an Opera Gala at Konzerthaus Berlin.
Her roles performed on stage include Haendel’s Serse, Bizet’s Carmen, Poulenc’s La Marchande de Journaux among others. In the Summer of 2016, Valentina did her debut as a Participant of the Young Singers Project in the role of Myrtale in Massenet’s ‘Thais‘ at the Salzburger Festspiele. Her most recent performances include the role of Mercedes in Bizet's ‘Carmen‘ at Opera de Tenerife and the role of Stephano in Gounod's ‘Romeo et Juliet‘ with Munich Rundfunk Orchestra under Keri-Lynn Wilson in Ingolstadt.
Starting from September 2017 Valentina will be an Ensemble member of Gärtnerplatztheater in Munich where she will make her debut with roles like Haensel (Hänsel und Gretel), Nancy (Martha), Second Dame (Zauberflöte).
