Born in Portugal, Tiago Matos graduated from the University of Aveiro in Portugal where he studied with Isabel Alcobia.
In 2011, he was admitted to the Opera Studio of the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos. He participates in the VOICExperience Foundation program in Florida and New York, where he is working with Sherrill Milnes and Joan Dornemann. He is currently working with João Lourenço. In 2012, he won first prize and the prize for the best Lied / Melody performance at the 6th Lyrical Song Contest of the Rotary Foundation of Portugal. He interprets the roles of the Count (The Marriage of Figaro), Jupiter (Orpheus in Hell), Father (Hänsel and Gretel) and Janino (O Basculho da Chaminé of Marcos Portugal at the Teatro Nacional de São Carlos). In concert, he sings Haendel's Messiah, Beethoven's Ninth Symphony, Fauré's Requiem and Mahler's Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen. With the opera workshop of the Opéra national de Paris, he participated in several concerts at the Amphitheater Bastille, the Auditorium du Louvre and the Palais Garnier with the Orchester de l'Opéra National de Paris. He sings the roles of Enrico (L'Isola disabitata) to Noisiel and Châtenay-Malabry, Buonafede (Il Mondo della luna) to the Bobigny MC93, the title role of Don Giovanni to Bobigny and Châtenay-Malabry, the Singer Serenade (Les Caprices de Marianne by Henri Sauguet) for a tour of the Lyric Promotion Center associating some fifteen French opera houses (this show won the Claude Rostand Grand Prize for the best opera show in the region). He performs with the Orchester Symphonique d'Orléans (Don Quixote in Dulcinée de Ravel and extracts from Bizet's Carmen). At the Opéra national de Paris, he participated in the productions of the Barber of Seville (Fiorello), King Arthus (a knight) and Rigoletto (Il Conte di Ceprano).
