Born in Glasgow, Thomas Walker studied at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and under Ryland Davies at the Royal College of music in London. His Repertoire of the last decades includes works by Johann Sebastian, Johann Christian and Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach and Georg Friedrich Händel, Christoph Willibald Gluck and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart to Leoš Janáček, Arthur Honegger, and Britten. In the season 2019/20 Thomas Walker sings, among others. Ludwig van Beethoven's "Missa Solemnis" with the Belgian national orchestra, a tour with the "Missa Solemnis", as well as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's "Requiem" with the Ensemble Vocal de Lausanne, Johann Sebastian Bach's "Magnificat" with Les Violons du Roy, the "St. Matthew Passion" with the Orchestra of the 18th Century and De Nederlandse Bach Vereniging, and Georg Friedrich Handel's "Messiah" with the Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música, Porto, the Real Orquesta Sinfónica in Seville, as well as the NDR. Thomas Walker sang in the last season, the Adam in Alessandro Scarlatti's "Il Primo Omicidio" at the Opéra national de Paris and at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Admeto in Christoph Willibald Gluck's "Alceste" at the Ruhr Triennale, Rinaldo in Haydn's "Armida" on tour with the Basel chamber orchestra, the title role in Jean-Philippe Rameau's "Zoroastre" at the Komische Oper Berlin and the title role in Rameau's "Platèe" at the Stuttgart Opera.
