About
Thomas Douglas grew up bilingual, German and English. He was born in Zambia, grew up in Zambia, Iran and Munich. He studied Acting at HfMuT in Hamburg, working at Thalia Theater, Deutsches Schauspielhaus and Kampnagel at the same time.
1999, he became member of the Ensemble Theater Neumarkt in Zurich (Crescentia Dünsser / Otto Kukla) and Theater Basel in 2001. (Stefan Bachmann / Lars Ole Walburg) Since 2005 he works freelance: e.g. Schauspielhaus Zurich, Staatstheater Hannover, Hebbel am Ufer Theater, Berlin, Luzerner Theater, Theater Neumarkt and Theater Basel. Many Years he was member of the the experimental theatre company CapriConnection. Their productions went on nationl and international tours to Berlin and CCD Workstation in Beijing. He also works as a Speaker for e.g.: Radio SRF, Literaturehouse Basel and Zurich and the Zürcher Chamber Orchestra. He is known for his numerous Film and TV - Productions. In 2010 he played the leading part in "Zu Zweit", which won Zurich Filmprize.
