The Norwegian Wind Ensemble is primarily the entire Østfold orchestra, but with an ever stronger national and international resonance.
The ensemble with roots back to 1734 is based in Halden and consists of 24 professional musicians. Their specialty is diversity; an ability to preserve the story while creating it anew. It makes the ensemble both genuinely faithful and genre-free - all in its own time.
The ensemble puts collaboration very high in all categories of music and concerts - early music, real-time music and so-called "sessions" - with local actors as well as recognized national and international choirs, soloists and conductors.
