About

After ten years of piano studies, Sylvie Delaunay began singing in Angers with Mireille Patrois (Choir of Radio France) and entered the choir of the Angers Opera, which allowed her to play several small roles ( the Baroness of Parisian Life).

She teaches singing for four years in the Pays de Loire region. At the same time, she works with the Vocal Ensemble of Nantes under the direction of Paul Colléaux where she assures the solos of Schubert's Mass in Schubert, Vivaldi's Gloria or Scarlatti's Stabat Mater. She also participates in a series of concerts devoted to French melody with works by Fauré, Duparc, Berlioz, Ravel. Then she works with Bernard Fabre-Garrus, musical director of the vocal ensemble "A sei voci" with which she performs several times (Jephte de Carissimi, Symphoniae sacrae by Gabrieli, Madrigaux in love with Monteverdi ...). In 1993, she obtained a scholarship to the CNIPAL of Marseille where she had the opportunity to follow the master classes of Evelyne Brunner, Luigi Alva and Edda Moser, and to participate in the Périgord Noir Festival with Dalton Baldwin and Lorraine Nubar. She won the second CNIPAL Prize and in 1995 joined the choir of the Opéra de Nantes where she played the roles of the Lady of the Company in Macbeth by Verdi and Barena in Jenůfa de Janáček.
Her repertoire includes numerous oratorios and religious works from Monteverdi to Honegger, including Bach, Mozart, Brahms and Poulenc. Since 1998, she has been part of the chorus of the Opéra national de Paris.
