About
Simone Soldati (Lucca, 3 September 1968) is an Italian pianist.
He trained with Francesco Cipriano with whom he graduated with honors and was a long-time student of Andrea Lucchesini. He also studied with Maria Tipo, Konstantin Bogino, Dario De Rosa and Alessandro Specchi.
He collaborated with Mario Ancillotti, Simone Bernardini (Berliner Philarmoniker violinist), Enrico Bronzi, Antonello Farulli, Natasha Korsakova (with whom he held a concert in Rome in Piazza del Campidoglio in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Giorgio Napolitano) Herbert Handt, Giovanni Sollima,
Alain Meunier, Andrea Nannoni, Franco Maggio Ormezowsky, Gabriele Ragghianti, Susanna Rigacci, Cristiano Rossi.
We also recall - from 2002 to 2013 - the experience in Mario Ancillotti's Ensemble Nuovo Contrappunto and in this context the concerts with Moni Ovadia, Annie Ducros, Milena Vukotic, Pino Caruso, Elio Pandolfi and Ugo Pagliai. Simone Soldati also worked with Arnoldo Foà and recently with Marcello Nardis and Sandro Cappelletto in a project dedicated to Franz Schubert.
Over the years his activity has received the applause of artists and men of culture, including the sculptor Francesco Messina, the conductor Aldo Ceccato ("... I was able to admire in him the beauty of sound, the accurate phrasing, the cantabile esplanade ... "), Josè Antonio Boccherini, descendant of the Composer (" ... the perfect interpretation of the duo, with modern instruments, allowed us to appreciate unsuspected nuances in Boccherini's music, and made us listen to this music with new ears ")
He has often been a guest on Rai broadcasts (I Concerti del Quirinale, Tg Tre Linea Notte, Radio Tre Suite).
A network of medical and musician volunteers is active in "Donatori di Musica" which organizes concerts in numerous oncology departments in Italy.
He was part of the Centro Tempo Reale in Florence founded by Luciano Berio. and from the 2014 Season he is Artistic Director of the Lucchese Music Association.
He often works with exponents of various disciplines and develops his proposal as a search for ways and containers in which different languages and expressive forms meet with the aim of favoring wide usability of the cultural heritage and as a lever for enhancing the territories. With this in mind, in 2015 he created the Lucca Classica Music Festival.
After teaching for almost twenty years in the Conservatories of Cosenza, Salerno and Padua, he is now a lecturer at the "Luigi Boccherini" Higher Institute of Musical Studies in Lucca, where he is Director of the MaDAMM Master in Art Direction and Music Management.
