Simone Groppo gained an interesting experience as a 'continuist' in works such as 'Europa Riconosciuta' by Antonio Salieri, 'Rinaldo' by Haendel, 'Idomeneo' and 'Nozze di Figaro' by Mozart for Teatro alla Scala.
Since 2002 she has been a board member of the Scala Philharmonic.
Simone Groppo, since 1992 is cellist of the Teatro alla Scala Orchestra. After graduating, she continued his studies with Antonio Janigro and Mario Brunello at the Romanini Foundation in Brescia and chamber music with Franco Rossi. The experience gained in theater playing together with great musicians is the rich heritage that inspires her to continue exploring the expressive qualities of her instrument. Simone Groppo founded the small string ensemble "Insieme Concertante della Scala" and with Francesco De Angelis, Rudy Cibin and Giorgio Baiocco. She also gave life to the ensemble "The Cellists of the Scala". Simone Groppo plays a precious cello from the Milanese school of 1700.
