Simón Orfila Tickets

He was born in Ala­ior (Menorca) and being six­teen years old he star­ted sin­ging with the choir of the Opera of Mahón (Menorca). He atten­ded a sin­ging course of Maty Pin­kas in Bul­ga­ria and he stu­died later at the School of Music Reina Sofía in Madrid, beco­ming a pupil of Alfredo Kraus with whom he stu­died till Mr. Kraus death.

He has sung many reci­tals and con­certs in Menorca, Mal­lorca, Madrid, Bar­ce­lona, Seville and Ali­cante, and also in Hel­sin­borg (Swe­den) and Tou­louse (France).

In opera, he has sung seve­ral roles in Palma de Mal­lorca, Mahón, Tea­tro San Car­los of Lisbon and sings fre­quen­tly at the Gran Tea­tre del Liceu of Bar­ce­lona (Norma, Turan­dot in the ope­ning per­for­man­ces of the thea­tre, Lucia di Lam­mer­moor, Nozze di Figaro in the Robert Car­sen pro­duc­tion, Un ballo in maschera, I Puri­tani, Sam­son et Dalila with José Car­re­ras, La Bohème, La Fat­tuc­chiera, La cle­menza di Tito, La Favo­rite, Don Gio­vanni, Il viag­gio a Reims, Maria Stuarda, L’Elisir d’amore, La Gaz­zetta, Semi­ra­mide, La Cene­ren­tola, L’arbore di Diana and Anna Bolena.
