Sigrid Maria Schnückel, 1966 in Oelde (North Rhine-Westphalia) born, studied acting at the Otto-Falckenberg-Schule in Munich. Her first engagement took her to the Burgtheater Wien in 1993, where she collaborated with Claus Peymann (Elfriede Jeline's "Raststätte oder Sie machens alle", world premiere in 1994) and Hans Neuenfels (Franz Grillparzer's "Das Golden Fleece", 1994). Engagements followed, among others. at the Kunstfest Weimar, at the Maxim Gorki Theater Berlin, at the Zimmertheater Tübingen, at the Theater Ulm and at the Residenztheater München as well as at the Salzburg Festival on the Perner island in Peter Stein's production "Libusa" by Franz Grillparzer. With the Noise-Art-Performer and composer Tetsuo Furudate she combines a longstanding artistic friendship. At Podewil Berlin, she had to experience Marie in his "Woyzeck"project and in "King Lear", as well as at the Theater Bielefeld in the world premiere "Death Fragments-Büchner, 23 years old".
Schnückel was also on camera for Film and television on a regular basis. She continued her education as a cultural manager at the Potsdam University of Applied Sciences and has since realised numerous projects in the Free scene. Most recently, she was shown as Virgil in the interdisciplinary theatre performance "Dante, Tod und Teufel" by Susanne Göße in Nuremberg and every summer since 2013 as a cook in "Jedermann" at the Cathedral Square in Salzburg. She is currently working as a theatre educator and director for the Witten project factory.
