Samuele Lastrucci, leader of the Baroque ensemble I Musici del Gran Principe and maestro di cappella of the Church of Santi Michele e Gaetano of I.C.R.S.S. of Florence, is the Artistic Director of the Tuscan festival of baroque music Da Vinci Baroque Festival since 2014.
At the age of 17 he began studying orchestral conducting with Ennio Nicotra according to the Russian tradition of the legendary Ilya Musin at the Mantua Conservatory first and then at the Bicocca University of Milan.
In 2018 he became assistant to Alessandro Quarta for the production of Emilio de 'Cavalieri's "Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo" on the occasion of the 50th edition of the Ancient Music Festival of Urbino.
Today he studies Baroque praxis at the Fiesole Music School and is a pupil of the orchestra conductor, composer, draftsman, flutist and top Vivaldi expert Federico Maria Sardelli.
