Born in Santiago de Compostela in 1994, Rosalía starts her piano studies at age 5 with Alexander Gold and María José Cerviño. She studied Bachelor Degree with Alan Weiss at Utrecht Conservatory (The Netherlands) and Master Performance with Claudio Martínez Mehner at Musik Akademie Basel (Switzerland). In parallel with her modern piano education, she specialized in Early Music, studying harpsichord with Siebe Henstra and Jörg Andreas Bötticher and fortepiano with Edoardo Torbianelli at the Schola Cantorum Basilensis. At the moment she studies Solistin Diplom at Musik Akademie Basel.
Her development was enriched by the advice of musicians such as Kennedy Moretti, Anton Kernjak, Christian Bezuidenhout, Fou Ts’ong Rita Wagner, Menahem Pressler, Galina Egyarzarova, Dimitri Bashkirov, Andras Schiff, Elisabeth Leonskaja and Ferenc Rados, among others.
Her intense concert activity took her to several halls in Spain, The Netherlands, Austria, France, Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Russia, Egypt and the USA. She made her debuts in Concertgebouw Amsterdam (2013), Palau de la Música Catalana (2015) and Cairo Opera House (2016) and took part in the Moscow Meets Friends Festival (Moscow) and the International Keyboard Institute and Festival (New York).
After winning competitions like the XVI Infanta Cristina Piano Competition (Madrid, 2012), the XV Cicle de Primavera (Barcelona, 2012), etc.; she got the 1st prize at the Young Pianist Foundation Competition in Amsterdam (2013) –as well as the Laureates Award and the best performances of Classical Sonata, Schumann and Modern Music. She performs frequently in the main Dutch halls ever since.
She has a wide experience as a soloist, having worked with conductors such as Philippe Herreweghe and Ahmed el Sali; and orchestras like Real Filharmonía de Galicia, Orquesta Presjovem, deOrkestacademie, Orquesta Gaos, Noord Nederlands Orkest, Nederlands Jonge Orkest, Cairo Symphony Orchestra and Basel Symphony Orchestra.
Her great interest for Chamber Music led her to festivals like the International Chamber Music Festival “Joaquín Turina” (Sevilla), Storioni Festival (Eindhoven), Delft Chamber Music Festival and Shiermonnikoog Chamber Music Festival.
She has been praised by critics and important music personalities for her outstanding artistic maturity. In 2015 the newspaper El Correo Gallego awarded her the title Galician of the Year due to her striking career.
