About

With his current hit album “Neon”, Rea Garvey put himself in the right light. More than 100,000 enthusiastic fans saw the most extensive arena tour of his amazing career in autumn 2018. In the summer of 2019 the Irishman, who lives in Germany, will present his live show with his band at selected open air locations.

The “Irishman in Berlin” is striking a different note with his fourth studio album, although he remains true to himself. According to the artist, beats and sounds create an “urban / street-like” atmosphere that was not previously in focus. Of course, fans can also look forward to hits from the three previous solo CDs, all of them top 5 chart successes that have sold more than a million times.

The previous CD Prisma was marked by protest. Following a long musical tradition, Rea Garvey took a critical look at his environment. This is how passionate songs were written with head and heart, arousing but still full of optimism. Prisma reached the highest chart position of all Rea Garvey albums to date.

On “Pride”, Rea Garvey reflected on memories, traditions, folklore and literature of his home country. Autobiographical anecdotes found expression, as did a trip to Iceland.

Rea Garvey had already successfully made the step from a band project to a solo career with his first solo album "Can't Stand The Silence". Here he once again demonstrated his ability to constantly innovate creatively. His absolute feel for melody, rhythm and rhyme, his narrative talent and the accuracy of the songs were enthusiastically received. Also because they linked to experiences and feelings of the past, but condensed them stylistically.

Rea Garvey has always looked for and found challenges. Whether working with artists like Nelly Furtado, Apocalyptica, In Extremo, Paul van Dyk or as a real entertainer at Alive & Swingin ', where he, together with Xavier Naidoo, Sasha and Michael Mittermeier, brings the spirit of the legendary Rat Pack to life in Las Vegas . He gave the four seasons of the talent show "The Voice of Germany" credible impulses. He was also the focus of the last live cycle of “Sing my Song”.

The sold out “Neon” arena tour set new standards and was celebrated by the audience and the media alike. Rea Garvey and his brilliant band take this euphoria with them to the open air series, which lets his stylistically diverse and gripping song canon appear in a new light.
