About

Director of Balletomania, ballet school in Brussels. Outstanding teacher internationally renowned.

Born in Poland, Piotr NARDELLI completed a ballet training in Warsaw Opera Ballet School and started his dazzling career in 1966 : very soon nominated soloist dancer of Warsaw Opera Ballet, he was afterwards hired, in Marseille, by Rosella Hightower and Roland Petit (1971), in Sweden, by Stockholm Royal Ballet (1972).
In 1973, Piotr NARDELLI met in Brussels Maurice Bejart, world-wide renowned choreographer and Director of the Ballet du XXe Siecle who hired him as dancer of Ballet du XXe Siecle.

He danced several ballets, creations of Maurice Bejart: “Golestan, I Trionfi del Petrarca, Pli selon Pli, Petrouchka, Gaite Parisienne, Bhakti, L’Oiseau de Feu, Dichterliebe-Amor di Poeta, Bolero, IXeme Symphonie, ...”

From 1975, Maurice Bejart entrusted him to stage his choreography “Bolero” danced by the Bolchoi Ballet in Australia, and by Teatro Colon Ballet in Buenos Aires with the celebrity Maia Plissetskaia, and, afterwards, danced by the Deutsche Oper Ballet in Berlin (1976).

In 1979, in Brussels, Piotr NARDELLI together with Andrzej Ziemski opened a ballet school, “Balletomania,” while being a regular teacher of Mudra School and Ballet du XXe Siecle, and assisting Maurice Bejart to stage his choreographies:

“Petrouchka” for Stuttgart Ballet, “Gaite Parisienne” for the Australian Ballet, the Stuttgart Ballet, and the Royal Danish Ballet (1998).

Maurice Béjart also requested his assistance for staging “IXeme Symphonie” for the Paris National Opera Ballet in Paris (1996) and Tokyo (1999).

From 1986, recognized throughout the world as an outstanding teacher, Piotr NARDELLI has been invited by the most reputable theatres, companies:

Ballet de l’Opera national de Paris, Teatro alla Scala Ballet, Firenze Teatro Communale Ballet, Stockholm Royal Ballet, Finnish National Opera Ballet, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Staatoper Berlin Ballet, Stuttgart Ballet, Ballets de Monte-Carlo, Australian Ballet, Tokyo Ballet, New National Theatre Tokyo Ballet, Rio de Janeiro City Ballet, Bellas Artes Mexico City, Het Koninklijk Ballet van Vlaanderen, Béjart Ballet Lausanne.

For more than 30 years, he also participated in several international dance workshops in Europe, USA, and Japan.

From 1992, within his ballet school Balletomania, he undertook a new project subsidied by sponsors : the professional training of young talented dancers selected by an annual audition. A few of them have been hired by international well-known companies.
