About

Pinchas Adt was born on November 4, 1991 in Stuttgart as the third child of a family of musicians.  He received his first violin lessons from Ulrike Abdank at the age of five. After moving to Munich, he was a long-time student at Jorge Sutíl. At the age of 16, he began his studies at the University of music and theatre in Munich. In 2017, he graduated with honors from the Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe with Prof. Albrecht-Laurent Breuninger.

He is currently studying "chamber music" Günter Pichler at the" Escuela de Superior de Música Reina Sofía "in Madrid, which is made possible by scholarships from the" Fundación Albéniz "and the" Santander Consumer Bank AG". At the same time, he holds a master's degree in chamber music from the Artemis Quartet at the “Universität der Künste Berlin".
He received musical impulses on courses of Ana Chumacenco, Natalia Prishepenko, Ulf Hoelscher, Heime Müller, Michael Tree, Gerhard Schulz, Ferenc Rados, Eberhard Feltz , Corina Belcea, Alfred Brendel and many more.

In chamber music he performed with Arabella Steinbacher, Jörg Widmann, Xenia Sidorova, Frank Dupree, Peter Buck, Franz Halasz and Ingolf Turban.

As co-founder of the Goldmund quartet, he regularly gives concerts all over Europe and is fond of international Festivals such as the Heidelberg spring, the festival Aix-en-Provence, the music and dance festival Granada and the festivals in Mecklenburg - Vorpommern and Schleswig-Holstein. Other trips were to Canada, China and the USA.

The BR, SWR, NDR, WDR, RBB, ORF, Radio classique, radio Klassik Stephansdom, Deutschlandradio, ARD alpha and einfesfestival among others broadcast numerous concert recordings, Live broadcasts and Interviews.

At the “ Jugend musiziert“ competition, Pinchas Adt received numerous awards at all levels and the Sparkasse promotional prize. In 2013, he won the 1st prize of the competition "Kulturkreis Gasteig" with the gold and Quartet and the 1st prize at the "international Schoenfeld String Competition" in Harbin, China in 2014. 

In 2015, the Ensemble received the scholarship of the German music competition and was admitted to the 60th federal selection of concerts of young artists. In the following year, the quartet received the special prize of the "Karl-Klingler-Stiftung" at the "ARD-Musikwettbewerb" 2016. recent awards include the second prize at the "Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition" in London and the first prize at the "International Chamber Music Competition" in Melbourne.
For many years Pinchas Adt participated in the children's concerts of the Munich Philharmonic under the direction of Heinrich Klug, where he also played as a soloist. Other soloist performances included the Puchheim Youth Chamber Orchestra, The Soloist ensemble and the University Orchestra of the Munich Academy of music, the Augsburg Chamber Orchestra, the Isartal Philharmonic and the Bad Reichenhaller Philharmonie.
Adt is a fellow of the "Yehudi Menuhin-Live Music Now-Verein" Munich and received funding from the "Theodor-Rogler-Stiftung", the" Freundeskreis der Hochschule für Musik Karlsruhe "and the"Oscar und Vera Ritter-Stiftung".
Since 2017, he has been teaching at the” Puchheim String Academy", an institution for the promotion of particularly talented and motivated young strings.
He plays a violin by Giovanni Battista Guadagnini (1773) from the Baden-Württemberg state collection.
