Pierre Pichaud caught the trumpet virus in Thiviers (Dordogne), where he began his apprenticeship with Francis Célérier and then with Oliviers Faillis. From there, the trumpet and the class of analysis and composition at RRC Limoges lead him to the catalog of SACEM as a songwriter. His path continues in Fresnes, but on the bright side, in Philippe Robert's class at the School of Music and at the Conservatoire de Boulogne-Billancourt with Frédéric Presle where he won first prize. After a year at the Pôle supérieur in Paris, his choices turned to teaching, two years of training at Cefedem in Rouen.
To live on his music, Pierre plays for ten years in various formations. He made his debut in balls, symphonic orchestra then in the orchestras of the Army at Versailles and the Orchester des Pompiers des Yvelines. In 2009, Pierre joined the Tony Bram's International Orchestra for a tour of a hundred dates with variety artists. For two years he has been touring the summer with the Ultima orchestra based in Millau. Active member of the brass band Les Brass'Rient for street music and finally Deaf Gifted for musical theater. It is also requested in other formations for replacements.
This eclecticism pushes him to persevere in the creation, the composition, the arrangement and his instrumental perfection. Recently, he started computer-assisted composition (M.A.O) and worked with some radio stations, cable TV channels and directors.
Back in Dordogne in 2011, Pierre is appointed professor at the Conservatoire Départemental.
