The Munich-based bass-baritone Otto Katzameier, a regular guest at the Salzburg festival, the Lincoln Center festival in New York, the Vienna Festwochen, the Munich Biennale, the Festivals in Tokyo, Oslo, London, Aix-en-Provence, the Opéra national de Paris, Teatro alla Scala in Milan, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, the Opéra National de Lyon, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Teatro dell'opera di Roma, Teatro Real in Madrid, Staatsoper Hamburg, has made internationally, especially in the contemporary Repertoire of a name. Numerous works have been and are composed especially for him. In the season 2016/17 the versatile artist made his directorial debut at the Staatsoper in the Schiller Theater in Berlin with Reimann's "The Ghost Sonata". He sings the main male role in the world premiere of the chamber Opera "Thérèse" by Philipp Maintz at the Salzburg Easter festival and at the Staatsoper Hamburg, for which he wrote the Libretto written. In addition, he sings in the new production of "Luci mie traditrici" at the Teatro La Fenice in Venice. He is also responsible for directing and furnishing in Dvořák's "Rusalka" at the theater Lübeck.
