About
The main task of the Oslo Philharmonic Choir is to accompany the Oslo Philharmonic. In addition, the choir regularly holds independent concerts and participates in external events.
Over the past ten years, the Oslo Philharmonic Choir has participated in around 170 concerts with the Oslo Philharmonic under some of the world's most renowned conductors. The choir has performed most of the major symphonic choral works of the music literature, and during the last decades has had a steady increase in quality. Today, the choir is considered one of the Nordic region's best symphonic choirs and receives good reviews from critics, audiences and conductors. Today the choir counts approx. 100 dedicated singers.
