After completing his studies at the Windsbach Boys Choir, Oliver Weidinger (baritone) first studied musicology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich before deciding to study singing at the University of Music and Theater in Munich, which he honored with two scholarships He completed his opera and concert singing with a diploma and completed it in the advanced training classes of Prof. KS Jan-Hendrik Rootering and Prof. Helmut Deutsch (Lied class). He also took masterclasses with Jan-Hendrik Rootering, Edda Moser Josef Metternich and Hans Hotter, Prof. Kurt Moll and Prof. Reinhard Leisenheimer.
From 2002 - 2005 Oliver Weidinger was a member of the ensemble at the Landestheater Detmold. In 2006, he found his new home at the Staatstheater Nürnberg, to which he has been a constant guest ever since. He also performs at theaters in Bremerhaven, Hagen, Gelsenkirchen, Krefeld and Mönchengladbach, at the Kiel Theater, the Osnabrück Theater, the Staatstheater Mainz, the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in Munich, the Deutsche Staatsoper unter den Linden in Berlin and the Bayerische Staatsoper in Berlin Munich. In Regensburg he was already in 2019 to experience in "Tosca in the harbor" (Scarpia).
