Gandian tenor Néstor Losán has been selected in the VoceAllOpera contest that has been held in Milan, to sing the role of Conte di Almaviva of the opera 'Il barbiere di Siviglia' in Paisiello. In another section of the contest he has also been one of the 12 participants chosen to study at the Academy of improvement of the Belcanto 'Rodolfo Celletti' (Martina Franca) during the academic year of 2017. Losán is the only Spanish selected among singers from all over the world.
The VoceAllOpera contest in Milan, held from November 20 to 22, 2016, aimed to select the deals for 'Il barbiere' from Paisiello, 'L'incoronazione di Poppea' attributed to Monteverdi-Cavalli and for the role of Sharpless in 'Madama Butterfly' by Puccini, in addition to choosing the students for the 2017 academic year of the 'Accademia del Belcanto Rodolfo Celletti'.
Néstor Losán, born in Gandía (Valencia), begins his musical training in Malaga with Carlos Álvarez and María del Valle Duque. He continues his studies at the Superior School of Singing in Madrid, under the supervision of tenor Manuel Cid, teacher Paloma Camacho, mezzo-soprano Pilar Pérez Iñigo and teacher Julio Alexis Muñoz. He receives dramatic training for four years from the hand of the playwright and director of actors Manuel Ángel Conejero in the Young Company of the Shakespeare Foundation. He is currently perfecting his vocal technique with the teachers Carlos Chausson, Mariella Devia and Giulio Zappa.
He has performed in numerous Spanish and Italian theaters in opera, zarzuela and oratorio productions. Among the awards received is an Accésit in the XXXIII International Singing Contest City of Logroño, in which he was a finalist; He was also a finalist in the III Zarzuela International Contest 'Ana María Iriarte'; He has been awarded the scholarship for young singers of the Association of Friends of the Opera in Madrid. He was also selected this year to open the Young Voices Cycle organized by Musical Youth in the city of Granada.
