A cool soul voice from the province of Brabant: NONA must feel at home at Pinkpop!
NONA’s music education starts in her parents’ record shop. During her quite turbulent adolescence she went from living in Brabant to Curaçao and back again. She picked up the guitar and chose to study management at the Herman Brood Academy. But what she really wanted? To sing! Starting out in the streets and the pubs from Eindhoven to London with blues guitarist Steve Bradley, it didn’t take long for NONA to have a major record company and music publisher backing her. Her repertoire has been written by herself and in collaboration with musicians in The Netherlands and New York. The result: impressive. As far as we’re concerned, NONA’s debut album justifiably earned her an Edison award nomination!
