Nikita Georgievich Galaktionov (born August 25, 1995 in Moscow) is a Russian pianist.
He began to study music at the age of four. He graduated from the Central Music School at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory. From the first to the ninth grade, he studied with Anatoly Yakovlevich Ryabov, then with Arkady Gavrilovich Sevidov, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation, winner of the 4th prize of the fourth International Tchaikovsky Competition. Higher education at the Maimonides State Classical Academy.
At the age of eight, he made his debut on the stage of the Svetlanov Hall of the Moscow International House of Music. Accompanied by the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, he performed 8 concerts for piano and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s orchestra and at the same time, at eighteen, the fourth concert of Anton Rubinstein.
In 2009, he won the first prize at the 11th Eutterpa International Music Competition held in Corato.
The first Russian musician to make a video, based on the classical piano piece: “Dreams of Love” by Franz Liszt. He was the author of the idea, the performer of music and the actor who played himself. Together with him, actress Maria Kozakova and his teacher A.G. Sevidov starred. This work caused heated debate among professionals and lovers of classical music.
Together with the teacher, he created the program “Maestro and his student”, composed of works by Russian classics. In 2014, she sounded in Yekaterinburg, and then - in Prague, Rome, Milan, Tallinn, Vilnius, Washington.
In 2015, he recorded his first disc, “The best,” which included piano pieces by A.Rubinstein, P. Tchaikovsky, M. Balakirev, A. Skryabin, S. Prokofiev.
In the same year, a debut at Carnegie Hall. As an invited guest, he took part in the AFAF (American Fine Arts Festival). Here, for "outstanding achievements in the field of musical art" he was awarded the "Certificate of Excellence".
In 2016, he received an offer to perform in the St. George Hall of the Moscow Kremlin, where, together with the Presidential Orchestra, he performed the Second Piano Concerto with Sergei Rachmaninov’s Orchestra. During the year he gave concerts at Carnegie Hall and the residence of the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Washington.
