Narek Hakhnazaryan is an Armenian cellist. Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia (2017).

Narek Hakhnazaryan was born into a musical family. His father is a famous violinist in Armenia, who was a member of the Komitas Quartet for many years, his mother is a pianist, and his brother is a conductor. Narek began studying the cello in Yerevan, but in 2000 he was invited to continue his studies in Moscow. In 2006, Narek graduated from the Music College at the Moscow Conservatory and entered the Moscow Conservatory in the class of Associate Professor A. N. Seleznev. Before that, he was a scholarship holder of such foundations as the Mstislav Rostropovich Foundation (2005), the Foundation of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation (2001), and many others. Narek has toured in many countries, including the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, France, etc. In 2007, Narek was awarded the Prize of the President of the Republic of Armenia. He took part in master classes of such cello masters as Mstislav Rostropovich, Steven Isserlis, David Geringas, Paul Katz, Lawrence Lesser, Ralph Kirschbaum, Franz Helmerson and others.

Narek is a winner of many international competitions. At the XIV International Tchaikovsky Competition, held in 2011, he took first place in the cello category, also receiving special prizes "For the best performance of a concerto with a chamber orchestra" and "Audience Award"
