Miroslav Nemec is a German actor, author and musician. Since 1991, he is mainly known as chief commissioner "Ivo Batic", part of the Munich investigator duo Batic and Leitmayr, from the crime series Tatort.

Miroslav Nemec was born in a Croatian family as the son of a Bank employee. After the divorce of his parents, at the age of twelve, he came to relatives after Freilassing. At the age of 15, he founded the student band Asphyxia, in which he still works as a lead singer and keyboardist.

Nemec studied classical piano music at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. In 1973 he took German citizenship and finally graduated as a music teacher. He then visited the Drama Academy in Zurich.

Since 1977, he played the theatre, among other things, to the stages of the city Cologne and Essen, the Frankfurt Opera (1992-93, as Puck in Britten's Opera A Midsummer night's dream), at the Munich national theater and the Bavarian state theater in Munich.

In the course of time, however, he turned more and more to work in front of the television camera. He was seen as the son-in-law of the Munich brewery family in the TV series Die Wiesinger and as a public prosecutor and opponent of Manfred Krug in the series Liebling Kreuzberg. He appeared as a villain at Derrick and the old man, eventually changed sides, and since 1991 he has been seen several times a year as chief detective "Ivo Batić" in the crime scene together with Udo Wachtveitl.

In the Miro Nemec Band he is singer, guitarist and Keyboarder. With both groups he plays Hand-in-Hand for the Förderverein. He launched this in 1994 with a number of colleagues for war orphans in Ex-Yugoslavia.

Miroslav Nemec has two daughters from the first marriage, was divorced after a year. In 2013, he married his partner, with whom he has been living in Munich since 2000. In 2011, he presented autobiographical narratives under the title: Miroslav – Jugoslav. In February 2012, he became a father for the second Time.

He also engaged in Germany as an honorary Ambassador of the Foundation's children's hospice Central Germany Nordhausen e. V. in Tambach -, he is also a member of the support group of the Foundation of the German police Union and the Federal Association of drama (BFFS).
