Meike Droste (February 5, 1980 in Bobingen) is a German actress.
Meike Droste grew up in Neusäss, just a few kilometres west of Augsburg. She studied from 1999 to 2003 at the Munich Otto-Falckenberg-school, and already gained during their studies first look game play experience to the Munich chamber. In 2002, she moved to the Berliner Ensemble, and played in productions by Claus Peymann in Turrinis Da Ponte in Santa Fe, as well as the title role in Brecht's Saint Joan of The stockyards, and under the direction of Leander Haußmann in Shakespeare's A Midsummer night's dream.
In the 2004/05 season eventually led her to the Schauspielhaus Zürich, where she was seen in the role of Doris in The artificial silk girl. Since the 2006/07 season, Meike Droste has been a member of the Ensemble of the Deutsche theater Berlin, where she has worked in various productions, including Chekhov's Kirschgarten and uncle Vanja, with renowned directors such as Barbara Frey and Jürgen Gosch.
In 2001, Meike Droste was awarded first prize at the Carl Orff Foundation's drama competition. For her role as Masha in Anton Chekhov's die Möwe am Deutschen Theater and the Kammerspiele Berlin, she was awarded the Faust Theatre Prize for best performance in 2009. In addition, Jürgen Gosch's production was voted the year's production by the theatre magazine today in 2009.
