Conductor, violinist and violist, he graduated with full marks in violin under the guidance of Salvatore Cicero.
He studied baroque violin with Enrico Gatti and attended master classes with Piero Toso and Sigiswald Kujiken. He was a student for the composition of Eliodoro Sollima and Niccolò Castiglioni: his works have been performed for important Italian contemporary music festivals (Festival di Nuova Consonanza in Rome, Spaziomusica Festival of Cagliari, etc.).
He graduated in orchestra conducting with Giampiero Taverna and in orchestra conducting for the opera with Umberto Cattini. He is currently dedicated mainly to performing the baroque and classical repertoire with Il Demetrio, combining the interpretative commitment with the musicological research on the Italian repertoire of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
He directed in modern first execution, also taking care of the revision, unpublished compositions by Antonio Cagnoni and Franco Vittadini, while as instrumentalist he reproposed the Mottetti for voice and instruments by Bianca Maria Meda and numerous compositions by Alessandro Rolla. Of the latter, in particular, he recorded the Quartets for flute and strings and directed the sacred compositions in modern premiere.
