First Prize of singing at the CNSM in Paris, Matthieu Lécroart performs in many theaters and concert venues in France and abroad (London, Vienna, Berlin, Madrid, Delhi, Shanghai, Tokyo, Chicago, New York ...) ), and in a vast repertoire including: lied & melody; Baroque music, with William Christie and Les Arts Florissants, René Jacobs, Jean-Claude Malgoire, Jerome Corréas, Benoît Haller, etc. ; oratorio - The Messiah, The Creation, The Seasons, Elias, the Ode to Joy, Carmina Burana and the great works of Bach, Mozart, Rossini, Brahms, Puccini, Fauré, Duruflé ..., especially under the direction of Fayçal Karoui ; contemporary creation - Cyrano & Roxane by Stavros Xarhakos in Athens (role of Cyrano), The guilty Love of Thierry Pécou at the Opera of Rouen (Figaro), Philippe Hersant's cycle of lieder In die Ferne, etc. ; opera - the roles of Rigoletto, Germont (La Traviata), Orfeo (Monteverdi), Figaro (The Barber of Seville and The Marriage of Figaro), Don Giovanni and Leporello, Papageno and the Sprecher (The Magic Flute), Falke (The Bald -Souris), the Director (Les Mamelles de Tiresias), the Marquis de La Force and the Jailer (Dialogues des Carmélites) - this last role at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, directed by Olivier Py and under the direction of Jérémie Rohrer -, Valentin (Faust), Escamillo (Carmen), Athanaël (Thaïs), Golaud (Pelléas & Mélisande), Mephistophélès (The Damnation of Faust), etc., the latter notably at the Théâtre du Châtelet where, moreover, he takes part in various concerts and "Lessons" by Jean-François Zygel.
In addition, Matthieu Lécroart readily defends rare works, among others at the Imperial Theater of Compiègne: Charles VI of Halévy, The Corinth Seat of Rossini, The Toreador of Adam (title role), The Esmeralda of Louise Bertin & Victor Hugo (Frollo), Noah Halévy & Bizet, Passionately Messenger, Marianne Sauguet's Caprices, El Retablo de Maese Pedro de Falla, Goyescas de Granados, Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis (title role), The Long Meal of Hindemith's Christmas, A Survivor from Warsaw by Schoenberg ...; he sings at the Metz Opera House My Fair Lady by Lerner & Loewe (Alfred Doolittle), Hänsel und Gretel by Humperdinck (the Father), Vanessa de Barber (the Doctor), and soon Rossini's Il Turco in Italia (the Poet) ).
Other projects include Così fan tutte at the Opéra de Clermont-Ferrand (Don Alfonso), La Traviata with Opéra En Plein Air (Germont), and a major European tour of the comedy-ballet Monsieur de Pourceaugnac de Molière and Lully, directed by Clément Hervieu-Léger and co-produced by Les Arts Florissants and Théâtre des Bouffes du Nord.
