Marzia Castellini graduated in singing and violin at the Nicolini Conservatory of Piacenza, where in 1998 it was awarded the Poggi scholarship for young people lyrical talents. Later she deepened his studies in Belgium and in France below the guide of Andrèa Guiot. He took part, as a soloist, in prestigious Italian festivals and festivals, among which the participation in numerous stand out editions of the Monteverdi Festival of Cremona, two editions of the Review Milanese Music and Poetry in S. Maurizio and at the Festival dei Due Mondi in Spoleto.
Her repertoire ranges from the Renaissance period to the twentieth century with one particular predilection for baroque sacred music and Lieder production.
Some of her intense solo-chamber activity is worth mentioning
important collaborations: in Milan and Turin with the Ensemble Entr’Acte, with the Martesana Quartet and the Turin Quartet. Marzia Castellini took part in an execution of the Petite Messe Solennelle by Rossini at the Teatro Regio in Turin and played the role of Dido in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas in form in concert, at the Teatro Juvarra in Turin; this last production transmitted by RAI International. She has held important roles in various Verona titles such as Carmen (2005 season director M. Plasson), Idomeneo (inauguration 2005/2006 season, dir. D. Harding), Nozze di Figaro (2006 season, dir. G. Korsten), again Idomeneo (2008/2009 season, dir. M.W. Chung),
Turandot (season 2010/2011, dir. V. Gergiev), Der Rosenkavalier (season 2010/2011, dir. P. Jordan), Lohengrin (inauguration of the 2012/2013 season, dir. D. Barenboim).
