Martin Rasch studied in Munich at the University of Music and Theater under Rainer Fuchs, Hugo Steurer and Gerhard Oppitz.
At the center of his extensive repertoire are the works of Ludwig van Beethoven. In 2002/03 he presented for the first time the complete series of 32 piano sonatas in Munich. He performed the five piano concertos of Beethoven with the Munich Symphony Orchestra on three evenings, during which they performed piano concertos by Mozart, Brahms, Rachmaninoff and Chopin. In Mozart's Year 2006, he performed Mozart's piano sonatas in Straubing, Heidelberg and Dortmund. In 2007, he played all sonatas and variations for piano and cello by Beethoven with cellist Dietrich von Kaltenborn. Since 2002 he teaches at the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.
