About

Martin Homrich made his debut at the Staatsoper in Hamburg, where he was a member for four years before joining the Semperoper company in Dresden. There he sings the great roles of the Mozartian repertoire such as Tamino, Titus, Don Ottavio, Belmonte and Ferrando as well as Flamand of Capriccio, Tom Rakewell of The Rake's Progress, Macbeth's Macduff, Hans of La Fiancée sold, Max du Freischütz. He has been an independent career since 2009.
He is invited to the Staatsoper and Deutsche Oper Berlin, Aalto Theater Essen, Scala Milan, Bayerische Staatsoper Munich, the Prague National Opera, the Opera of Rome, the Staatsoper Vienna at the Schwetzingen, Schleswig-Holstein, Schloss Ludwigsburg and Richard Strauss Festivals.

He interprets the Prince of Love of the three oranges in Wiesbaden, Edmund of Lear, Narraboth of Salome, Steva of Jenůfa in Hamburg and Hanover, Erik of the Ghost Ship in Hamburg and Zurich, the Emperor of the Shadowless Woman in Gelsenkirchen, Max from Freischütz to Limoges, Elemer from Arabella to Dresden, Bacchus from Ariane to Naxos from Nederlandse Reisopera, the Italian Singer from the Knight to the Rose and Balthasar Zorn from the Master Singers of Nuremberg to the Paris Opera, Florestan de Fidelio in Rio de Janeiro and Rennes.
He sang under conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Marek Janowski, Stefan Soltesz, Armin Jordan, Donald Runnicles, Ulf Schirmer, Peter Schneider and Simone Young.
Since the season 2017/2018, he has been part of the troupe of the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, where he sang the title role of the Tales of Hoffmann, Albrecht von Brandenburg (Mathis der Maler), Ismaele (Nabucco), Lenski ( Eugene Onegin), Jim Mahoney (Grandeur and decadence of the city of Mahagonny).
