Margherita Chiminelli, born into a family of musicians, started very early to sing under her father's guidance.
After completing her cello studies brilliantly in 94, she completed his studies at the Tadini Academy in Lovere (BG) and at the Chigiana di Siena.
In 1998 she graduated in singing with honors and special mention, subsequently winning numerous prizes in national and international competitions dedicated to the lieder / chamber repertoire.
In 94 Margherita Chiminelli founded and still directs the gospel choir "Hope Singers" with which he recorded in 2006: "Transiti", a literary-musical journey in the gospel tradition and in the Klezmer music culture.
She is soloist of the ensemble "seicentonovecento", of the "musical chapel of San Giacomo" and of the "Theatina musical chapel" of Rome and Naples with which she performs a repertoire ranging from 600 to the present day.
In particular she collaborated on the multimedia project "Towards 2005: Giacomo Carissimi master of musical Europe", placed under the high patronage of the President of the Republic and of the Pontificium Consilium de Cultura on the occasion of the celebrations of the fourth centenary of the birth of the great musician .
With the Musical Chapel of San Giacomo Margherita Chiminelli performed and recorded the oratorio "Humilitas" by Flavio Colusso for 12 soloists, choir, baroque orchestra, modern orchestra and reciting voice. She also recorded a selection of motets by Arion Romanus by G. Carissimi and the CD "Venite Pastores", musical pearls by Carissimi, for MR classics.
Interpreter of contemporary music in various events including: the XXXVII and the XXXXI edition of the International Piano Festival of Brescia and Bergamo.
Margherita Chiminelli collaborated with the Ensemble "Geometrievariabili", made up of instrumentalists from the Rai symphony orchestra of Turin, at the "Nuovamusica 2004" event at the Lingotto Theater in Turin.
With the Divertimento Ensemble in 2004 Margherita Chiminelli participated in the Europalia Italia Festival in Brussels and in "Rondò".
Always with the Divertimento Ensemble she recorded "Ach, so fruh?" By A. Solbiati for the Stradivarius label.
Margherita Chiminelli is a stable artist at the Teatro alla Scala choir in Milan.
