Marco Toro undertook the study of the trumpet at a very young age under the guidance of Maestro Alessandro Vecchiotti, at the “L. Refice ”of Frosinone, where he graduated in 1998.
He continued his studies with teachers such as Vincenzo Camaglia, Davide Simoncini, Marco Pierobon, Andrea Dell’Ira, Giancarlo Parodi, Rex Martin (Northwestern University, Chicago).
From 1999 to 2001 attended, at the Music School of Fiesole, the Professional Qualification Courses for Orchestra in the Italian Youth Orchestra, first in line and later as the first trumpet, working with directors such as Eliauh Inbal, Carlo Maria Giulini, Yuri Ahronovic, Daniele Gatti and Vinko Globokar.
Marco Toro continued to perfect himself at the "Gustav Mahler" Academy (Ferrara, September 2000) and at the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Academy (2002).
He has collaborated with various orchestras, including the Orchestra Regionale Toscana, the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the Orchestra of the Teatro Lirico "Giuseppe Verdi" of Trieste, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma (also collaborating as before trumpet), the "Haydn" Orchestra of Trento and Bolzano, the San Carlo Theater Orchestra of Naples and the Orchestra of Italian Switzerland.
Was a member of the Brass EnFer quintet, obtaining the first prize in the Atri national chamber music competition (TE) in June 2004, and recording for the Italian Swiss Radio.
Since 2005 he has been the first trumpet in the Italian Army Band, with which he has often performed as a soloist.
Marco Toro is part of Spira Mirabilis, an international ensemble with which he has performed in such prestigious halls as Queen Elizabeth Hall (London), Philharmonie (Essen, Germany), Cemal Resit Rey Conser Salonu (Istanbul), Salle Pleyel (Paris). With Spira Mirabilis participated in the documentary film "La Spira", produced by Ideal Audience directed by Gérald Caillat, awarded with the award for best educational film at the Montreal International Art Film Festival (Canada, 2012).
