With her unique timbre and great expressiveness, the Spanish mezzo-soprano Maite Beaumont is one of the most important singers in her field. Her repertoire includes roles from the Baroque repertoire and the classical viennese period, including roles from the french repertoire and the operas of Richard Strauss. Among them are roles such as Ruggiero ("Alcina"), Sesto ("Giulio Cesare" and "La Clemenza di Tito"), Angelina ("La Cenerentola"), Isabella ("L'Italiana in Algeri"), Dorabella ("Così fan tutte"), Cherubino ("Le Nozze di Figaro") and Oktavian ("Der Rosenkavalier"). With great success he salso sings roles as Donna Elvira ("Don Giovanni"), Mrs. Meg Page ("Falstaff"), Romeo ("I Capuleti e I Montecchi"), Siébel ("Faust"), Elisabetta ("Maria Stuarda"), Iphigénie ("Iphigénie en Tauride"), Margarethe ("La Damnation de Faust"), Didon ("Les Troyens"), Medée ("Medée"), Tancredi ("Tancredi") and the Komponist ("Ariadne auf Naxos").

Maite Beaumont is a regular guest at major international opera houses. Her commitments have taken her to Hamburg, Munich, Dresden, Vienna, Amsterdam, Brussels, Milan, Strasbourg, Toulouse, Barcelona, Madrid, Tokyo, Santiago de Chile and Chicago, as well as to the Salzburg Festival, the Innsbruck Ancient Music Festival and the Schwetzinger Festspiele. Recent successes include Isabella ("L'Italiana in Algeri") and Melibea ("Il Viaggio a Reims") at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, as well as Ruggiero in the new production of "Alcina" at the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels.

As a concert singer, Maite Beaumont has a wide repertoire: pieces from the baroque to the contemporary music she has personally premiered. She has worked with the orchestras Academy of Ancient Music, Bamberger Symphoniker, Bremer Kammerphilharmonie, The English Concert, Ensemble Matheus, Camerata Salzburg, Ensemble Resonanz, Les Talens Lyriques, Il Complesso Barocco, Mozarteum Orchester, Ensemble Intercontemporain Paris and with conductors such as Ivor Bolton, Christoph Eschenbach, Adam Fischer, Alessandro De Marchi, Alan Curtis, Christopher Hogwood, Ingo Metzmacher, Fabio Biondi, Jean-Christophe Spinosi, Harry Bicket, Sir Roger Norrington, Christophe Rousset, Emmanuelle Haïm, Nikolaus Harnoncourt, Daniele Gatti and Daniele Rustioni. With different programmes Maite Beaumont is presented at Wiener Musikverein, Soli Deo Gloria, Kissinger Sommer, Settembre Musica Milano, Rheingau Musik-Festival, Salzburger Festspiele, Schleswig-Holstein-Musik-Festival...

Maite Beaumont was born in Pamplona (Spain), where she studied voice and violin at the Pablo Sarasate Conservatory and sociology at the Public University of Navarre. Later she moved to Hamburg where she perfected herself with Hanna Schwarz at the Musikhochschule and became a member of the Hamburg State Opera, where she had the opportunity to debut the most important roles in her repertoire. The singer's discography consists of a CD of Arias de Händel "La Maga Abbandonata" (BMG), a single CD "Dolce mio ben" (Edel Classics), Arnecke "Das Fest im Meer" (NCA), Händel "Alcina" (Deutsche Grammophon) as well as Haydn's Dvds "Il mondo della luna", Händel "Giulio Cesare", Mozart "Così fan tutte" and "Le Nozze di Figaro", all under the TDK label. Soon she will debut the role of Agrippina de Händel with Les Talens Lyriques at the Klangvokal Festival in Dortmund as well as the role of Farinelli at the Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
