Lukasz Vasilek is the chief choirmaster of the Prague Philharmonic choir. He graduated from the Prague Academy of arts as a conductor and Charles University in Prague as a musicologist. In 1998-2009 he was choirmaster of the Chamber choir. Josef Bohuslav förster, in 2005-2007 he was the second choirmaster of the Opera choir of the National theatre in Prague.

In 2007, he headed the Prague Philharmonic choir and toured Extensively with the ensemble, learning cantatas, oratorios and operas with musicians. Collaborating with Daniel Barenboim, Jiri Belohlavek, Christoph Eschenbach, Rainer Hanekom, Jakub Pear, Philippe Jordan, Fabio Luisi, Zubin Mehta and Simon Rattle, and with such ensembles as the Berlin Philharmonic orchestra, Czech Philharmonic orchestra, Israel Philharmonic orchestra, the Saxon state choir and the Vienna Symphony orchestra.

Since 2010 he has been performing with the Prague Philharmonic choir at the Bregenz Opera festival.

He made a number of recordings with the band in collaboration with Deutsche Grammophon, Decca, Sony Classical and Supraphon. Recent releases include a recording of Bohuslav Martinu's cantatas (Supraphon, 2016), which received high reviews from Gramophone and BBC Music Magazine reviewers.

In 2010 he founded the chamber ensemble Martin? Voices, with which he performs the choral repertoire of the XX and XXI centuries. He performs as a conductor with Symphony orchestras.
