Ludovica Rana is 23 years old and began studying music at the age of 4 under the guidance of her parents, both musicians, and, despite her young age, she has already established herself in prestigious competitions such as the 30th National Review of Arches " Mario Benvenuti "of Vittorio Veneto in 2010, receiving a scholarship, the" The Note Zagreb "Award at the IX International Competition for Young Cellists" Antonio Janigro "in Croatia in 2012; in 2016 the First Prize at the International Music Competition 'Vienna' Grand Prize Virtuoso and the 'Young Virtuoso Award' at the 1th Manhattan International Music Competition in New York. 

Special mention at the MIUR Arts Prize (Ministry of University and Research) in September 2012, Ludovica also won several National Competitions such as "Euterpe" of Corato, "Città di Casamassima", "Terra degli Imperiali Award" in Francavilla, "Rosa Ponselle" of Matera. In May 2014, Ludovica won the 1st prize of the Special Section of the "Francesco Geminiani Award" receiving for free two years the cello by Maestro Giovanni Lazzaro (Padova 2011) called "Furibondo". In June 2018 he won the "Crescendo" Competition in Palermo which will see the participation in a solo concert in the season with the Sicilian Symphony Orchestra in the 2018/2019 season.
In 2014 of the same year, Ludovica graduated with honors from the Musical Institute "Giovanni Paisiello" of Taranto in the class of M ° Andrea Agostinelli.
She attended the Pavia Cello Academy and received her Master's degree in Music Performance at the Conservatorio della Svizzera Italiana in Lugano under the guidance of Maestro Enrico Dindo. In 2017 he attended the Menuhin Academy in Rolle with Pablo de Naverànt.
Currently she is attending the Cello Specialization Courses with Maestro Giovanni Sollima and Chamber Music with Maestro Carlo Fabiano at the Santa Cecilia Academy in Rome.
She also attended Masterclasses with distinguished cellists such as Conradin Brotbek, Michael Flaksman, Johannes Goritzki, Antonio Meneses at the Chigiana Academy of Siena, Frans Helmerson at the Academy of Montepulciano, Antonio Mosca, Asier Polo, Troels Svane, Rafael Wolfish.
In 2015 she was selected in the prestigious Kronberg Academy Festival to follow the Miklós Perényi masterclass.
As a soloist she has performed at numerous concert societies, including the Milan Concert Society, Cremona World Music, Pure Music of Pordenone, Monopoli Portraits Festival, Fazioli Concert Hall, Messina Philharmonic Academy, Varignana Music Festival, Concerts of Quirinale, Festival Villa Solomei, Classical Forme Festival, Music at Villa Durio. She also made her debut as a soloist performing Haydn's C major concert and Beethoven's Triple Concerto with the Padua and Veneto Orchestra. In March 2018 she performed at the NedhPho-Koepel performing "Violoncelles Vibrez!".
In addition to the soloist activity, she combines the chamber music that led her to numerous collaborations, including those with her sister Beatrice Rana, Enrico Dindo, Pablo Ferràndez, Bruno Giuranna, Oleg Kaskiv, Francesco Libetta, Marcello Panni, Massimo Quarta, Danilo Rossi, Alessandro Taverna. A recipient of the Francesco Caramia scholarship for three consecutive years, it was identified by the "Paolo Grassi" Foundation of Martina Franca for the formation of a Quartet dedicated to Gioconda de Vito, with which she performed in numerous concerts for the Foundation and for the 38th and 39th Valle D'Itria Festival. She was a recipient of the Eskas scholarship awarded by the Swiss confederation.
From 2017 he becomes Artistic Secretary of the Classica Forme Festival in Spongano, a Festival that enjoys the High Patronage of the Presidency of the Republic, of the Puglia Region, as well as the support of Fai and Historical Houses.
From 2018 it is supported by the cultural association Musica con le Ali, performing at the musical season at Musica a Villa Durio (Varallo).
