Luca Sannai graduated from the Conservatory of Sassari (Italy) under the teaching of teachers Joan Logue and Gianni Mastino. He then attended many courses and master classes in the field of choir conducting, counterpoint, Gregorian chant and vocal technique. Winner in 2003 of the titular tenor competition at the Lyric Theater of Cagliari (Italy), where he worked as an artist of the choir until 2013, he was also finalist of the TIM Competition in Verona (2008) and third winner of the Rome Rolando Nicolos Competition, following which he has won leading roles in such productions as The Magic Flute (Tamino), La Traviata (Alfredo), The Bohemian (Rodolfo), Rigoletto (The Duke of Mantua) ), Elixir of Love (Nemorino), Traveling Virtuosos by Fioravanti (Podestà), Primarosa by Pietri (Giaele), Britten's Little Sweep (Clem-Alfred), The Four Notes Opera by Johnson.
He also performed in concert: Schubert's Mass in G major, Mozart's Requiem, Buxtehude's Membra Jesu Nostri, Scarlatti's Stabat Mater, Monteverdi's Book VIII, Bach's St John Passion. In 2013 he entered the choir of the Opéra national de Paris.
In addition to his singing, he is also choirmaster: since 1996 until 2014 he was the director of Coro Polifonico Turritano of Porto Torres (Italy), with which he won three times the first prize and four times the second prizes in national and international competitions. From 1998 to 2007, with Giovanni Acciai, he held the artistic direction of the International Festival of Polyphony Voci Europa of Porto Torres, and from 2008 to 2015, he was the unique artistic director, gathering every year the best choral ensembles, laureates of European international choral competitions.
In 2014, he created in Paris the Ensemble Vocal International Bastille, a professional training composed by singers from seven different countries, offering a repertoire from the different cultural domains of its members.
