About
LORENZO VITOLO, born in Naples in 1998.
He starts playing piano at eight with two private teachers, at ten he began studying classical piano.
Graduated with marks of 110 cum laude and mention in classical piano at the conservatory San Pietro a Majella di Napoli in 2017.
In 2018 he obtains the Master degree in Music Disciplines (piano), with marks of 110 cum laude and mention.
In 2018 he received a four-year scholarship from the New School of Jazz in New York.
He is currently attending the New York Jazz Master program at the Prince Claus Conservatorium in Groningen.
He worked as a pianist with the Generations Big Band 2018, under the direction of Maria Schneider, performing in two concerts during the International Jazz Festival Generations ‘18 in Fraunfeld, sharing the stage in that occasion also with Gary Versace. In the same festival, being selected also for being part of the band Generation Unit 2018, he performed also with the trombone player Adrian Mears with whom he will tour during summer 2019.
He will play at "Piano Off Stage" Lucerne Festival 2019.
He plays in many clubs in Italy and Europe with various bands and in a few months he will release his first album recorded in trio.

- 1st prize and Audience Prize soloists of the competition "CHICCO BETTINARDI" 2014
- 2nd Price at 21th edition of "Premio Internazionale Massimo Urbani".
- 1rst prize of the Italian Conservatories National Festival competition 2017.
- 1st prize "Youth in Jazz" in JANULA JAZZ FESTIVAL 2014
In 2010, 2011 and 2013, winner of two second prizes and a first prize in some competitions of classical music.
Finalist at Parmigiani Solo Piano Competition 2017 in Montreux.
