About
Lindenquintett Berlin performed for the first time in summer 1996 (at that time still as Lindenquartett) with a concert in the Katharinenkirche to Brandenburg in appearance. Already at that time, ensemble put emphasis on a wide range of its repertoire, which extends from Gregorian chant, songs of the Renaissance, a significant amount of romantic male choral literature to Barbershopsongs, jazz or amusing reinterpretations of the pop music classics.
In the search for new sonic and musical possibilities, the quartet turned into the "Lindenquintett Berlin" in 2007.
In this lineup, it was now possible to work with a pianist to create a program with the five-part hits of the legendary Comedian Harmonists.
Meanwhile, the Linden Quintet looks back on numerous performances in the Komische Oper Berlin, at castle concerts in Brandenburg and Mecklenburg Vorpommern, corporate and family celebrations as well as on radio and television.
