She has taken masterclasses with international singers including Dolora Zajick, Carlos Álvarez, Joan Pons, Teresa Berganza, Sondra Radvanovsky, Fiorenza Cossotto, Ana Luisa Chova, Jaume Aragall, Isabel Rey… and in the performing arts she has trained with interpretation and corporal expression professionals including acting work with Ramon Simó, Jordi Godall, Carles Sala, Raimon Molins, Isabel Soriano and Toni Sans.

Recently, she has won 3 Extraordinary Awards at the ‘Tenor Viñas’ International Competition, she has been Finalist at the ‘International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition’ from more than 1130 singers around the world. She has won the ‘María Orán Award’ at the International Singing Competition of Opera of Tenerife, the ‘Sevilla Ciudad de la Ópera Award” at the ‘Certamen de Nuevas Voces Ciudad de Sevilla’, the 2nd Prize in the International Singing Competition ‘Ciudad de Logroño’, the winner of the ‘Certamen de Zarzuela de Valleseco’ and ‘Special Prize’. Laura has also won the prize for the “Best Interpretation of a Spanish Song’ at the International Music Competition ‘Jóvenes Intérpretes Pedro Bote’, the 2nd Prize and the ‘Special Prize’ at the International Music Competition of ‘Les Corts de Barcelona’, the 3rd Prize at the Singing Competition of ‘Ciudad de Albacete’ and the 3rd Prize and the Audience Award at the Arjau Musical Competition.

In her stage career Laura del Río made her debut with ‘Violetta‘ in the opera ‘La Traviata’ by Verdi at the Palau de la Música, ‘Lauretta‘ in the opera ‘Gianni Schicchi’ in Berlin, ‘Marina‘ in the opera ‘Marina’ of Arrieta, ‘Rosa‘ in ‘Maruxa’ of Vives, ‘Duquesa Carolina’ in ‘Luisa Fernanda’ of Torroba, ‘La Coribanti‘ in ‘L’impresario in angustie’ of Cimarosa, among others. Recently, she has premiered ‘Mans a l’òpera’ in ‘Gran Teatre del Liceu’ and she will soon be singing ‘Norina‘ in ‘Don Pasquale’ in Barcelona, ‘Marola‘ in ‘La tabernera del puerto’ in Tenerife and ‘Mimi‘ in ‘La Bohème’ in Palau de la Música.

Laura del Río has also performed Lied and Spanish songs concerts in different countries such as Monaco and Germany. Standing out ‘Tutto Opera’ in Palau de la Música Catalana, ‘Suites gallegas’ with the ‘Orquesta de Cámara Galega’, the concert in the ‘Auditorio Alfredo Kraus’ in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the closing concert in the Young Festival MUSEG in Segovia organized by Juan de Borbón Foundation, the Lied Concert in the Berlin Song Festival and the Opera Concert rin Montecarlo. She has worked with Caroline Dowdle in Berlin and she received a grant from ‘Life Victoria’ to work with Iain Burnside. Laura has also performed Spanish Songs with the pianist Rubén Fernández Aguirre, Celsa Tamayo and with other composers such as Antón García Abril, Miquel Ortega and Manuel García Morante.
