La Lira di Orfeo is an ensemble dedicated to the rediscovery in modern times of the ancient and Baroque repertoire.
Founded in 2014 by Raffaele Pe, he aspires to realize a " rendering – - with the words of Luciano Berio-of the original essence of this repertoire, tuning past techniques with a contemporary sensibility.
Following the brilliant debut for Deutschland Radio Kultur at the Berlin Philharmonie and the Bologna Festival appearances, the Mito SettembreMusica Festival, Parma and the Rheinvokal Festival in Frankfurt, the ensemble proposes itself as a young Italian voice for the interpretation of the vocal music between six and seven hundred.
Research
La Lira di Orfeo is a collective of musicians, artists and researchers who move their interests around the study of the classic for the benefit of the present. We present the ancient by combining a meticulous attention to historical research with the active and free desire to put in place all performance experiences that can help his employment in the current cultural life.
Artistic residence
Since December 2015 the activities of La Lira di Orfeo is an ensemble in residence at the Sala della Musica of the Fondazione Maria Cosway in Lodi, with the aim of enhancing and passing on the cultural and musical heritage of Maria Hadfield Cosway in an international perspective.
