About
Julia is an actor, theatre maker and Performing Arts teacher from Sydney, Australia. Since majoring in Performance Studies at the University of Sydney, Julia began her own theatre collective Little Eggs in 2015.
The collective has made four original works to date, and performed in both Sydney and Brisbane. For their most recent work, Julia directed a reimagining of Pinocchio, which won two Sydney Fringe Awards including Critics Pick and the NIDA development award for best emerging director. The collective is set to stage a physical theatre adaptation of The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Coleridge at the KXT Bakehouse Theatre in March of 2019. In 2016, Julia opened her own Performing Arts School for children and teenagers, Northside Youth Theatre where she teaches Drama and Singing. In 2017, Julia was accepted into the Fall Acting Intensive at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York. Julia’s recent acting credits include Blueberry Play (Redline Productions at the Old Fitz, 2018) Lie With Me (Brave New Word & The Old 505 Theatre), Hot Mess (Feature Film, For Film’s Sake official selection 2018, Seattle International Film Festival official selection 2018), 44 Home (ATYP 2017), and The Bacchae (NIDA, 2017).
